Introducing the Mizuno Pro 221 Irons – Mizuno’s ultimate Muscleback. Taking inspiration from the classic bladed models of the past, the MP 221 is the ultimate in tradition and performance.

Using Mizuno’s renowned Grain Flow Forging process, the MP 221 are created from 1025E Pure Select mild carbon steel – producing the timeless look that can only be a Mizuno. The addition of the soft copper underlay provides the soft feel that golfers have come to expect from the Japanese manufacturer.

At address, the MP 221 suggests a thinner top edge and shorter profile due to precision bevelling – all without any loss of playability. Mizuno have relocated some of the clubhead mass from the heel into the main muscle pad to create a thicker impact area – creating the “muted” sound preferred by existing Mizuno players.

For those looking to shape shots, the MP 221 features Mizuno’s shortest centre of gravity from 3 – PW, with 8-PW seeing a dramatic size reduction to allow greater trajectory control via the heavily taped upper blades.

The Mizuno Pro 221 Irons are available as standard in 4-PW and are fitted with True Temper Project X LS 6.0 (Stiff) alongside a Mizuno Z-Cord Grip. Custom fitting options are available from 3-PW in a number of shaft combinations from Senior to Extra Stiff.
